So alberta fashion week has officially begun!  it was kicked off on monday morning with the cityline tv breakfast show.  One of my designs was featured both in the initial segment as well as a preview to the segment as well.  It's nice to see some of my hard work paying off, even with small tv appearances.

on a side note for all geeky people...or which i am one.  I saw Ross Hull in the flesh! rememer are you afraid of the dark and student bodies...yup saw him.  Got to say his head is rather large and he's quite short....shorter then i am at least.

Anyways so the tv spot went well.  after the show i went back to my brothers house to grab my stuff, headed down to megan's house to help her put in a zipper.  Then i drove to a c-train station and rode it down town to meet at my fashion show venue.  toured the ventune, sorted out hair and make up, figured out music and just finished random last minute details.  Then back on the train, and drove back to lethbridge.  where i crashed and slept for 3 hours before getting up...and being cranky.  and sewing.  But i have things down to hem lines now and random button's here and there.  so it's getting better.

I stupidl forgot one outfit up in calgary that i need to finish hemming and adding buttions too.  but megan assured me that she would get it finished...except for the buttons.  but that's cause it's weird and only i know where the buttons should got.  mwahaha.

ok i have to work in the morning...i can't even talk about work right now.  BLAH!!

be happy!  i've worked so hard for this it would be a shame not to enjoy it now.

So i'm in a fashion show during alberta fashion week...meaning i'm showing my new spring line during alberta fashion week.  you may ask now...what new spring line.  and i might answer...exactly!?  Yeah the show is literially  like 2 and a half weeks away and i have nothing made...at all.  That's not to say that i don't have patterns on the go (cause i do) and idea's galore (also there) and stuff cut out just waiting to be put together (yup) but no actual garments made as of yet.

so this is where my week of being off from le chateau comes in.  Yes it's true i have 6 days off in a row!!! i know amazing..it'll never happen again.  But i'm determined to make all of these days count!  i want to make a total of 12 outfits so if i make 2 outfits a day i'm laughing.  It sounds easy but this might fail horribly.  I am lucky cause megan is working on stuff too...it potentially takes my amount of work to be done down to half of what needs to be done.  the crux of the situation though..Megan just had her tonnsils out last week.  She's having a bit of a rough time with it in recovery and i fear that she might not be up to working the insane hours that i'm about to be putting in.  Add to it we don't have a super clear plan for our collection beyond...1940's, mint aqua color with cream, brown and black.  gold accents...a bit of an aviator theme.  yeah that's like all we got.  So i'm just winging it.  i figure i'll make what i want and we'll just squish it together and make it work! just try and stop us!

all i can say is thank god pam is doing jewelery for me.  seriously i would be soooo skrewed with out her!  actually though i think i've left myself enough time to make some nice accessories this time round.  you know things like hats and scarfs etc.

beyond the clothing though it's a bit tough i've been coordinating models it feels like all last week.  i finally think i have enough models...maybe it's getting hard to remember who i've talked to and who has gotten back to me.  i literally have list's upon list of names and emails of people i've never met.  and yeah now i need to make clothing that's going to work for all of these models.  (praying praying praying it all works out).  On top of that i'm paying models with photography from the show...so i need to book a photographer.  Megan was going to do that but i have doubts that she did...which means that i may be stuck doing that.  And so i'll have to find a photographer, see if they're willing to work for uber cheap (haha) or strike some sort of back alley deal with them to get cheap services.  Ugh why can't i be rich...i swear throw a wad eof money at someone and they'll do just about anything.  Oh yes and lets not forget i need to book model fitting.  yeah might be nice to make sure the clothing actually fit's the models we're putting them on.  but wait i can't have a model fitting until i actually have some clothing to put on some models.  And it's goes on.

To tie up a few loose ends i need to remember to get business cards printed, and it would be nice to actually have a website up..or a domain name bought with a website under construction at the very least.  again more money out the door...and to be honest i feel like i've paid more money into this venture then my supposed to be partner.  I swear if i left it up to her, all good intentions aside it would never happen.  haha i know it's a love hate relationship...we don't actually see each other that often or talk that often it seems.  but we do feed each other's creativity and it's always nice to cut cost's and use each others connections.  i just wish megan was feeling better...i think if she was she would be up to doing more of the leg work.

well i think i've ranted enough about fashion week.  18 days!! i can do it!  i know i can...just think in 6 days come hell or high water..my collection will be real instead of drawings on some paper....or my name isn't peach (well actually it's not but you know what i mean.)

oh did i meantion i'm going to be on calgary breakfast tv on oct 5th?  yeah...ehehe something else i need to look forward too.  epps i'm kind of scared...cause you know i'll be on tv too.  and the last time i was on tv i was dressed as captain kirk....<_<..lol

wow...it's been months and months now.

much has happened and there is a lot to tell. 

first of all...i moved out.  it has been the greatest and best experiance, and i think i was more then ready.  i was never homesick and i haven't really missed my parents house (well i mean i miss it but you know i was ready for my own place.)  i'm living on the north side now and although the area is kind of sketchy...that's ok.

I'm still working at le chateau and i think i'm getting a bit of notice.  I mean they keep calling me out of town to go and merch for other stores...so that's got to be a good sign.  Things are going good at my store right now...except for the crazy insane amounts of stock! (16 boxs just the other day on top of another 10 at least...and 15 more to arrive on monday!)  It hasn't helped that i finally got some time off so between my time off work and me working at the le chateau store opening in the crossiron mills mall i was gone about a week.  Did i come back to a minor distaster..yup!  But i think i'm getting it under control now, i'm going in for a few hours tomorrow (yeah on my day off) to work on more stock.

I'm also in alberta fashion week now...and it's exciting but not exciting at the same time.  I have to somehow pays for models and right now i don't have tons of money to dish out.  so i am going to try and strike deals with models for portfolio work and referances.  we'll see how this works out.*fingers crossed* oh and lets not forget i have to still make my collection too.  lol one minor detail!  but actually i spend my mini vacation making patterns, and i'm going to make even more patterns tomorrow.  there are 43 days until the fashion week.  that means i'm way ahead of schedule...i don't usually start on things until like...2 week before the event.  but i'm determined this time to have it perfect!  and i want to make more then one of a garment so i can sell stuff too!  it's going to be a cute 40's glam and aviator inspired collection!  should look great on the runways.

well that's about all the major things that are going down in my life right now.  whoot go me.

Seriously why is this month the month of i can't catch a break?  i'm always busy!  and just when i think i have enough to do...something else comes up.  things like me having to get to medicine hat, or working extra days at le chateau, or something going on at the gym, peoples birthdays etc etc.  i'm not even kidding i'm just ready to freak out.  and i really really REALLY need time to work on my collection right now.  and of course just when i'm counting on the time i'll have after work to get sewing done....oh the area merchandisers make and appearance and i'm suddenly working a few 12 hour days or there's a staff meeting so i'm split shifting the day.  WHY!!!!!!???????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!  or the dress i made for someone didn't fit cause the measurements i took were wrong because she decided to lose a ton of weight between the time i measured her and the fitting. 

So i'm trying really really really hard to hold it together and not snap at people that decide i need to come and hang out with them.  thanks for thinking of me and all and don't take it personally when i tell you to fuck off.  i'm just stressed...and i have a cold on top of it all that makes me rather bitter.

ok i've vented and now i need to clean.

what is the correct response to a dumpy senior citizen who feels it is her duty to ask you if your "boobs are cold?" while your just sitting eating your lunch and minding your own business?

soo i'm back from the hat!  WOOT!  it was actually alot better then i thought it would be.  still my rag totally came when i was out there, not really surprised by that.  the hotel i stayed at had super comfortable beds!!! like just amazing!  and it was great to go hot tubing too!  haha megan and i roomed together so it was nice to be able to plot a bit with her while we were working.  of course we had to be kryptic about things too cause i'm pretty sure i could lose my job over it...or be warned anyways (megan pointed out that both of us are too valueble to the company to be staight up fired for designing).

it was great to work with the area merchandisers again!  andrea and nicole are both so awesome!  and best of all they're more like me so we relate to each other.  lol nicole and i were talking about how we always dress up for the harry potter movies, and i told her about the up coming star trek movie... she was ammused.  also both andrea and nicole are big depeche mode fans!  yay finally people that totally get the 80's cheese pop deal!
jealous though andrea totally went to see them when they were in calgary!  she thought it might have been the 101 tour.

after working in a new concept store i'm kind of not looking forward to seeing my crappy store now.  it's soo old and gross!  but i am told that offically i'm getting a face lift in my store.  so that includes new wall fixtures, new floor, new ceiling, new cash desk basically new everything!!  it would have been awesome if we got a full reno the possibility of more space would be been the cherry on the cake but it doesn't look like it's going the happen.  too bad though cause i'm of the opinion lethbridge needs mens wear badly!  but you know i'll take what i can get.  i have no timeline for when the mini reno will be done so that's also a bummer.

yay i have boot camp tomorrow moring.  booo!  so i'm going to turn in early tonight.  haha i started work at 7 in the moring worked until about 6 or so, drove to lethbridge, picked up the keys for the store and now i need to go to bed.  oh i bought a new bag and a yellow shirt out in the hat.  haha they totally gave me my discount too! cause you know i was working there and all.  but seriously i'm cut off for the next month now.  i cannot buy any clothing.  the only thing i'm going to let myself get is some perfume...(maybe) and ballet flats (cause holy crap i'm going throught them like nothing.)

soo i did it.  i signed up for bootcamp! and i did a day of it last friday...omg i'm soo stiff today!  i can't even describe the amount of pain i am in.  there are muscles that are crying out in pain i wasn't even aware i had.  O.o

but then again if that hows i feel after just an hour session at least i know i'm getting my money's worth!  so the boot camp runs for the length of may and then if i like it i may continue doing it for another month.  and hopefully i can be motivated to achieve my goal of a really hot body!!

Also i signed up to do a fashion show on may 1st.  haha soo i'm starting this weekend on the simple peices that i know i can totally finish.  megan is working on the collection with me so that's a plus!  always good to be working with someone else, it should make it run smoother.

kind of sucks though next week i have to go to med hat to work at their chateau for 2 days.  the area merchandisers are coming down so they asked me to come out and work with them.  it should be fun! but i have a feeling i might get my rag around that time...and yeah not fun!!!  but at least i'm only there for 2 days.

anyways i need to head out.  i'm suppose to be changing the windows at chateau today and i have another training shift at the gym.

So i got the job at only womens fitness!  soo i'm 110% moving at the end of may!  WOOT!!!!  soo excited!  i've already planned out the color scheme for my living room!  and i have my eye on this nice charcoal colored couch, it's just a little love seat but i think it's going to be the perfect size for me to lounge on...and that's all that really matters (...i guess nicole can lounge on it with me ^___^).  so far i'm thinking my main wall colors will be this cream color with a touch of brown and then i'm going to do a wall in a nice bright iris tone (kind of a blueish purple) and then i have my main couch in charcoal and then i'm going to accessorize with hits of leaf green!

i also plan to have a main wall unit with my tv and what not it's also going to have lots of cubby's for displaying all my wonderful shoes and my hat collection (nicole also has hats so it should work out rather nicely).  i'm thinking i want a throw that's black and white striped.  you know just to add this awesome bold pattern to the room.  for the most part i think this is going to be my birthday gift to myself when i move in.  it'll be nice that i have all of may to decorate cause i'm totally going to need with when i start working both jobs.  lol

oh have i mentioned...i'm going to be signing up for the boot camp at the gym.  dear god i hope i don't kill myself...but on the other hand maybe i'll finally look really nice for cosplay season...and swim suit season!!! woot woot!

OMG!! WATCHMEN WAS AWESOME!!! no seriously i loved it!  i'm going to go and see it again!!...when i have the money to spare.  it was sweet after the movie we ended up going to humpty's and just hanging out and talking....til 4AM!!! yeah glance at the clock and it was like whoa!  lol but it was good.  and then on saturday i bummed around and did nothing almost all day.  it was AWESOME!! pam and i did hang out in the evening for a bit, jo was perhaps going to need a ride home so i thought pam and i would hang until jo needed to be picked up.  Jo ended up not needing a ride but that was ok cause we ended up listening to vinyl and watching part of star trek the undiscovered country which actually had iman in it!  she played this awesome character with feathers for hair.  i enjoyed her character!

i should get back to declutting my life.  i managed to purge my bathroom stuff today, got rid of old make up, bottles etc.  it feels soo good to have it all cleared out!!  but now i have to tackle my room!!  it's kind of scary to think of all the crap i need to go through, but i'm sure once it's done it'll be awesome!!  i love the feeling of spring cleaning...even if i don't like to clean...or i have to be in the mood to clean.

well it's happened, my dream of moving is turning into concrete plans to move.  i have a place that's willing to take me when i'm ready which is awesome!  Now i have to save.  save save save!!!  i'm figuring out my budgeting now, i would like to have a nice cushion of saving put away before i move so you know i don't skrew myself over.  that wouldn't be very good at all!

Now its about trying to find furniture for cheap!  although i plan on spending a bit on a couch, it might be a bit of a splurge but if i'm going to be sitting on it alot i would like something that i want!  i'm very excited the land lord is going to let me paint!!! YES COLOR!!!  haha i don't think i'll go as crazy as i did in my room. (although it's funny my mom likes it now and doesn't plan on painting it.)  i think i still want to go with the retro theme, you know tastefully retro and modern (and no those 2 design movements do not work against each other even though it sounds like and oxymoron).

i want to have a party as soon as i'm moved in and settled!  you know good times playing mario kart and ddr...although i don't own ddr (haha).  and so on and so forth.  But with moving means i have to sacrifice and save.  sooo i can't go and see Depeche mode.  and i was going to go up to calgary next month but i  probably shouldn't...i might if i get the job at the gym (yes i still haven't heard but they are still hiring) cause i'll need some cute gym wear!

anywho...that's about all that's new and or exciting with me.  ooo WATCHMEN TOMORROW!!!!! soooo excited!!!

you know when it seems like everythings going great, you're getting your shit together and moving on in life...and then you slide back 10 spaces.  that's what i've been feeling like this year.  i mean i'll clean up my room and 2 days later it'll be a mess again.  or i mean to start drawing again and it just doesn't happen.  i want to start sewing and get half way through a project and lose my will to finish it.  why why why!!!??!?!?!?!?!

ah sigh...i think winter needs to end.  i want to see the sun again, i want to tan, i want to wear cute clothing with cute shoes.  most of all i want to hear about my second job and have the money to move out.  i'm sick of living in a basement!! i need light and a view!  and i want to meet a nice cuy that's not skeevie or just into me for sex.  seriously!!  what's wrong with me!!!  oh and i want to have the will power to lose weight and get into the shape i feel i should be in.

sorry guys...that was basically a rant.  thank god february is the short month!  i can't take much more of this!

it's the new year and so new years resolutions are big on my mind.  i think i'm just going crazy and make a billion promises that i may or may not keep.

so my main list of goals for this year includes

- lose weight and tone up - exercise more often
- eat better - eating out less - bringing a lunch to work
- stop buying movies - and i'm going to sell the ones i don't love
- change cell phone plan to be more efficiant
- declutter my life
- sew more and make my own clothing instead of buying clothing
- pay down debt and save money
- look for a better job
- plan to move away
- write a business plan

soo that's my short list of things i want to accomplish this year....it's a bit long but i think some things in there are short term goals i could complete pretty quickly.

okay so i was glad that i managed to go with people who wanted nothing more then to mock the entire event.  and mock we did!!!!!

okay holy crap that was one of the worst movies i've ever seen!  like throughout the movie i'm thinking why am i here?  the acting was kind of funny it made it worth the trip but the movie itself was just totally horrible.  the romantic scenes (i think that's what they were suppose to be) were horrible they seemed ackward and forced.  the super fast running made it seem really really cheesy!  seriously edward with his feet kicking in the air like he's treading water while looking as if he's flying along a zip line.  the film itself was poorly filmed.  no interesting angels and really poorly set up scenes.  they used a blue filter on the entire movie to make everything seem grey and dead looking.

there was a lack of chemistry between edward and bella.  it did grow a bit through out the movie but for the most part it just seemed dumb.  and for the best...the glittering.  BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! i seriously laughed soo hard when i first saw him glittering!!! omg!  it looked like he got caught in a glitter explosion!  and of course at  the same time he's talking about how he's a monster etc etc.  of course you're a monster!  what guy wouldn't be devistated at being covered in glitter!

i think out of all the scenes the only one worth watching was the ballroom when james is trying to kill bella.  it was awesome when alice ripped off his head!  and there actually seemed to be some real action...oh wait that was the ONLY scene with any action.  alice was a really cute character and actually jasper was hilarious!  he followed alice around like a puppie i loved it!  the rest of the cullens where great too and when i first saw carilse it was like soap opera doctor!  he was sooo pretty!

anyways that's what i think about that movie.  i could probably be forced to watch it again but seriously PEOPLE why do you like it!?  it was soo bad!

I did it...i got a second job.  So say hello and goodbye to me for i'm not sure you'll see me very much at all anymore.  Ah sigh  anyways yeah i'm a server at a restraunt out in fort macleod now.  i got the job through a friend which i've never done before but i think it'll be alright.  i'm a bit nervous to start and the pay's not that great but the tips are suppose to be pretty good.  i'm just hoping i can work it all out with Le Chateau and everything i have planned right now. 

Halloween is going to be great!  everyone's going out and i have sooo many stops i want to make the night it's going to be soo fun!   and then there's a masqueraide on Nov. 8th so that's going to be super fun too!  spencer and i are going together for the fun of it.  i thought he'd be a good date cause we're just good friends and that's always night to know that you can meet someone else and not be worried about hurting you're "dates" feelings.

i just want the winter to rush by so i can pay down some debt and work on a new fashion collection and in general just move out and such.  we'll see how much debt i manage to shave off and see where i'm at in the new year.  i'm hopeful that i'll beable to make the move out.  fingers crossed.

yeah i know i'm a loser but whatever. 

it's depressing how i can't seem to save money or lose weight or tone or whatever. i can't  find a nice guy to date or do anything right.  ARGH!  i came to the realization yesterday...i really really really want to move out!  and i really want to live with raelyn cause she's just AWESOME!  but i can't save money so i can get out of debt so i can't move out and it;s really depressing.  anyways i'm going in circles but i need to go job hunting...i found my old resume so i'm going to make a new resume and go looking for weekend jobs working where ever i can get.  i want to make a decent wage or at least tips so i can speed up this paying down debt thing.  i feel sometimes i'm going to be swallowed by the abyss of student loans and i wonder if it was even worth it.

i guess what i really need to know and figure out is if  Le Chateau is worth staying with or if i should move on to something else bigger and better.  i just want to get going and i feel soo unmotivated sometimes...like right now.  i think i need to go jogging or something and just work out what i'm going to do.  if i get a little booth started down town at this new shop that's opening perhaps i can finally get my name out there and get my clothing sold.  i really want to do a fashion show with megan and see where that can go and also if this lady really has serious plans for building a business or if it's just going to be a gong show in the end.

what to do what to do what to do....i need to sit down and write out a plan or something.  or run away....haha.

omg i love zombie walks they're soooo fun!  my house wife zombie totally worked out perfectly!  it was awesome and i've found soo many pictures of me it's ammusing!  pam was totally rad with her chainsaw cutting her in half!  overall a really good zombie walk but only about 20 to 30 people this year which is sad considering there were about 200 confirmed guests coming.  sad so very sad but we had a good time regardless.  my one shoe thingy half worked i ended up taping a sandle to the bottom of my foot and it stayed on soso.  i have to elastic it to my foot at one point but whatever.  my lady fingers were also a hit!  hooray!  whichi s good cause they looked soo nasty but people all thought they tasted good so yay!

if i'm around next year to be a zombie i want to go as a bag lady with like a cart full of crap covered in blood.  i mean this year i had a bloody rolling pin which was fun for dueling with the people who were hunting us.  mwahahahaha we eventually turned all the hunters into zombies by the end of the walk which was kind of the point over all.  britt also impressed people with her out of control super high shoes, i'm impressed she could shuffle so far and so quickly in them!  go britt!  you have the power!

now i get to look forward to this weekend when i shall play capture the flag with foam swords!  ah yeah!

I had a long inspiring talk with my brother tonight about my life and what i need to do to get going and where i plan on going.  I've decided through some nudging of my brother that i need to leave lethbridge and so since i'm planning on moving out next spring anyways i may as well realize a dream and move down to Australia.  I've found job postings online so i think i'd be able to find a job easily enough, next i need to find a place to live and then get a plane ticket and save my money for the move.  I think i want to stay down there for about a year if not longer depending if i like it or not...what's not to like though.  So pretty much i'm making a decision and i should just run with it.  i want to get into a more design oriented career so i think i should work on building a big portfolio then i can work on building a brand for my life down the road.

I hate thinking that this is going to tear a part plan's for con's next summer but i cannot have that be the rest of my life.  i refuse to sit around any longer waiting for something major to happen instead i need to say i'm ready to go and just get going.  After living in australia for a while if i come back to canada it seems unlikely that i'll ever move back to deathbridge which is alright, perhaps i'll make it up to edmonton or out to montreal or vancouver.

Anyways that's my little rant about moving on with my life.  haha i know it's out of the blue but really i think it's time.  if i plan on moving out i may as well really move on out.  haha i think it'll be fun!

 Well my parents and Grandma are off today for 2 weeks.  That means i have 2 weeks of house to myself!  WOOT!  I have soo much planned to do this week...mainly work.  BUt i'm going to dejunk my room like i've never dejunked before!

I'm also planning on having a party but i'm not sure when...i thought maybe this next weekend but i'm not too sure yet.  i really want the Le Chateau girls to come...but we'll see what happens.

Perhaps i'll pull out my play station and play ff12 since i can do that on the big tv now...that could be fun!

Yesterday i opened a savings account so i'm just waiting to hear confimation on it then i can stick money into it and actually start saving instead of living just pay cheque to pay cheque.

On another note....I need to be repaided gas money from the trip.

I'm estimating this just so you know.  we filled up 3 times over the coarse of the trip.

once in lethbridge as we left it came to about 57.00
once on the road up it came to about 54.00
and once on the way down and that came to about 44.00

We used about a tank and a quarter going up so divided between 4 people come to 17.63 and coming down the rest of the gas (one fill up plus the 3/4 of a tank from driving up) divided betweeen 3 people comes to 45.00

So people owe me gas money as follows

Nevi: $17.63 (since you only drove up with us)

Please try and get the money to me ASAP, Britt i know you're away so we'll figure it out when you're back.  Nevi i know we like never see each other so pass it through jo if you have to, it worked well last time and jo when ever i see you see if you can have it...I'm not too too concerned about having it by a certain date but i would just like to get it cleared up sooner then later.
